In order to establish eligibility for services at West Point Cemetery, the West Point Cemetery requires a copy of the service member's military discharge (DD-214) or retirement orders and a completed and signed Statement of Eligibility (SOE). These documents can be emailed, faxed or mailed. This is the first step in establishing elegibility for interment. If the DD-214 is not available, it can be requested by the service member or primary next-of-kin at http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/.
