Classmates: 

The wait list for Sam to be buried at Arlington grew to more than 16 months. Considering the age of Sam’s classmates and the wishes of Sam’s family, Sam’s wife Linda decided on a small family funeral, which had been Sam’s preference. Sam was buried next to his Mom in Ashland, Kentucky, on Thursday, March 16, 2023. 

Well done, Sam. Be Thou At Peace. 

Linda wishes to have a Memorial Service for Sam attended by his friends and classmates. Highlighting Sam’s gracious and incomparable contributions to our golf group over the years will be a most fitting event in conjunction with this year’s Class of ’60 Myrtle Beach (MB23) golf outing in October. The service is planned for late afternoon on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in Myrtle Beach, time and place to be announced. 

The Memorial Service will also be announced through the Class of ’60 network and AOG. We expect a big turnout for this occasion, to celebrate Sam’s wonderful life and accomplishments, and his many noteworthy contributions to our Class.
