Class of 2021 Ring Melt

John Denton and Bob Totten participated in the Class of 2021 Ring Melt Ceremony where 41 class rings from 1935 to 2001 were added to the legacy gold sample that now includes 615 donated rings.This gold will be incorporated into the Class of 2021 rings, signifying their connection to the Long Grey Line.This program was started in 2002.

Jim Kane’s widow, Ellen and Don Barrel’s widow, Marjorie each placed their husband’s rings into the crucible. Later the resulting gold ingot was presented at the West Point Club.
