Music Video to Watch

This was passed along to me and I thought it was a great video.  Terry Kelly, a Canadian singer-songwriter, wrote about an experience he had when a store held two minutes of silence for veterans.  Read the background and then watch the video.  It’s worth a few minutes of your time.

Army Beats Air Force, 27-24!

Army beat Air Force 27-24 in Colorado on 5 Nov.  It was an excellent game and the first Army victory at Air Force since 1977.  That’s two victories in a row for the Black Knights.  Carleton Jones ran for 146 yards and a touchdown, and Army stayed in contention for the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy with a 27-24 victory over Air Force on Saturday.  It was Jones’ third 100-yard game this season for Army, which ended an eight-game losing streak against the Falcons and beat Air Force at the academy for the first time in 28 years.

How do I update my e-mail address on the mailing lists?

If you want to receive the e-mail to usma1989 or usma1989-forum at a different e-mail address than you currently are receiving it at, please send an e-mail to Warren Hearnes at wp46268@west-point.org.  Be sure to include your new address somewhere in the e-mail so we know what to change it to!

When we make the change it will actually appear as an "unsubscribe" from the old address and a "subscribe" for the new one, so you may see a couple of messages from majordomo@west-point.org — that’s our mailing list software.

John Tonra Finishes Maui Marathon

{mosimage}John Tonra sends in that he completed his 2nd Maui Marathon.  He says, "I did better this time – 4 minutes off my previous time, and was able to run the whole way.  Plus I beat Oprah again.  One day I hope to beat P. Diddy!"  He also sent in a picture of him crossing the finish line, using some of the locals as "motivation".  I hope his wife, Ta, doesn’t hear about this!

Where are classmate’s pages and contact information?

{mosimage}With this new arrangement of the class web page, where do I find the old information?  Where are our classmates’ pages, pictures, and contact information?

We’ll be importing the information from the old class web page into the new one over the next few weeks (Oct.-Nov. 2005).  In the meantime, here are some links to old information that is still available (we’ve added some of these as menu links on the main web page too):

  • Classmate’s web pages:  If a classmate has taken advantage of the free personal web space provided by WP-ORG, then you can find a link to that web page from http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1989/.
  • Send e-mail to a classmate:  If a classmate is one of the 700+ that we have an address for on the class e-mail list, you can forward a message to them from the E-mail Classmates menu item.
  • Personal updates:  The personal updates from the old web page will be inserted into the Web Forum on this site as soon as possible.
  • Pictures:  The old gallery is gone, but the pictures were saved.  We’ll put up a new gallery as soon as possible and attempt to re-insert the photos into that gallery.

Thanks for your patience during this transition.
