REPORT TO THE CADET IN THE RED SASH !!

On Reception day, your new cadet will learn many new and wonderful things. To assist in the learning process, your new cadet will report to the cadet in the red sash. This page will be the plebe parents' cadet in the red sash! Always report here BEFORE making a post This will help you transition to lists such as the PARENT-FORUM, which is a list for upper-class parents. Whereas PLEBE-NET is your safe place for questions, there are Academy personnel on the PARENT-FORUM, and it is wise to learn good posting skills from the onset, using PLEBE-NET as your learning ground.

Plebe parents who vilolate rules may receive a 'slug' for the error. What is a slug?
A slug is a special punishment for a serious offense. Results in loss of privileges, special fatigue duty, confinement to room during off duty hours, and may result in walking punishment tours.

The next few months are going to be very exciting. You will have many questions that you will want to have answered and rather than post the same questions over and over on the list, we offer this site to answer some of those questions,

This site will also help your NEW CADET (that is the term used until Acceptance day for your cadet) learn some of the important phrases and terms necessary to make Cadet Basic Training (CBT) just a tiny bit easier. Well, easier for mom and Dad at least!!

The best source for contacts and for answering questions is through a WP parent Club

There are only four proper responses to be uttered by any New Cadet. Mom and Dad, you might like to try these out at home just to give your New Cadet some practice. They will love you for it !
They are as follows.

Yes, Sir or Ma'am
No, Sir or Ma'am
No Excuse, Sir or Ma'am
Sir or Ma'am, I Do Not Understand

The Fourth Class Year consists of six weeks of Cadet Basic Training, informally known as Beast Barracks. This training orients new cadets and introduces them to general military instruction including helicopter operations and road marches.
