Army Bye Week Football Watch Party

Good Day Army fans,

We had 16 people show up to watch Army football get back to a winning record with a 42-13 drubbing of then undefeated Buffalo. A good time was had by all.

According to ESPN Army is favored to win in each of its remaining 7 games:
San Jose State – 86.9 % chance of Army win
Miami (O) – 82.9% ”
E Michigan – 58.4% ”
Air Force – 78.6% ”
Lafayette – Not rated due to FCS team
Colgate – Not rated due to FCS team
Navy – 71.5% chance of Army win

Anyway, one would think that with no Army game this week due to the scheduled bye week, that there is no opportunity for a game watch party. But….you surely are mistaken.

We are having a football watch party this weekend and here are the particulars:
Who: YOU and others
What: Navy vs Air Force football watch party
When: Saturday, 6 October 1530 hrs (3:30 PM)
Where: Y-Knots Sports Bar Peachtree City GA
Why: Somebody sent an e-mail asking why not? And I said “no Y-knot”.

See you Saturday.

Southside Gathering and Army Football

Do we have your attention now?

On a normal month the Southside Gathering would be this Friday.  But September is not a normal month because we have Army football this week.

So here is the deal, the normal Friday monthly Southside Gathering has been rescheduled for this Saturday and here are the particulars:

Who:  Everyone who is still breathing, seriously, we are having friends, neighbors and casual acquaintances show up to watch Army football…and oh by the way…by the end of the game everyone in Y-Knots is pulling for Army

What:  The Southside Gathering “and” Army vs Buffalo football watch party

When:  “Saturday” 29 September at high noon

Where:  Y-Knots Sports Bar, Peachtree City GA

For those who where in outer space last week, Army played number 5 Oklahoma to a 21-21 tie in regulation and received a standing ovation form the 87,000 Oklahoma fans as they left field after an overtime loss.  Perhaps the best “loss” in Army football history.

This week they take on the University of Buffalo in Buffalo.  You probably have not been following Buffalo football this year, but they are currently 4-0.  ESPN still has Army as a slight favorite  to win the game.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at high noon this Saturday…reminder there is no need to show up early since Y-Knots opens their doors at noon.

If the parking lot in front is full due to the Farmers Market… there are always open parking behind Y-Knots.

p.s.  There was zero in attendance last week because the Oklahoma game was not televised…for those still trying to get use to the effects of gravity.
