This session will be a great way to learn more about the Academy and get your questions answered. It’s also a nice chance to thank the Cadets for their commitment to service.

Get ready for an unforgettable Family Weekend! Join us on October 11th through the 13th for an exciting weekend of unique adventures, activities, and cherished moments with your Cadet at the U.S. Military Academy. Follow along for info and events that you won’t want to miss.

Event Highlights:

𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚:

• Welcome Tent – Stop by the Parent Welcome Tent at the north end of Thayer Walk for coffee, pastries, information, and a selfie station! From 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Attend a Class – See a day in the life of your Cadet first-hand by having them arrange for you to attend a class with them from 7:40 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Simulation Center – See firsthand how virtual reality meets modern warfare in our high-tech Simulation Center. From 9 to 11:30 a.m.
• Quarters 100 Tour – Get a sneak peek into the Superintendent’s residence with a tour of this 200-year-old home. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. RSVP required.
• Leader Team Briefing – An informative briefing led by Superintendent Lt. Gen. Steve Gilland will take place at 1 p.m. in Robinson Auditorium, Thayer Hall. 
• Robotics Demonstration – Ever seen a robot dog in real life? Stop by our Robotics Center for a demonstration of all our newest technologies, Thayer Hall 136 at 2 until 3:30 p.m.
• Academic Departments Open Houses – Explore the academic programs we offer by taking a tour of the departments from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. 
• Barracks Tours – You won’t want to miss the chance to check out your Cadet’s room in the iconic West Point barracks. Cadet escort required. From 4:30 to 6 p.m.
• Dinner in Cadet Mess – Experience dining like one of 4,000 cadets in the historic Cadet Mess Hall from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tickets required.
• Cadet Talent Showcase – End your night with a fun show put on by our talented Cadets in the Riverside Cafe, on the second floor of Eisenhower Hall at 7:30 p.m.

𝑺𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒚:

• Welcome Tent – Information at the Plain! Look for the tent behind the bleachers.
• Pipes and Drums – Head to the Plain a few minutes early to see a performance by the West Point Drill Team and Pipes and Drums, starting at 8:45 a.m.
• Parade – Start the morning right by watching the Cadets parade on the Plain at 9 a.m., followed by a Parachute Team demonstration.
• Home Football Game – Go Army, Beat the Blazers! Join in tailgating fun with a home game starting at 12 p.m. Head to armygameday.com for more info.

𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚

• Not too fast – Stop by for a quick bite before you leave at our Brunch in the Cadet Mess on Sunday morning from 9:30 to 12:30 p.m. 
• Boat rides – Take a historical cruise down the Hudson River Valley area with the Department of Geography. Departs from South Dock every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
• Character Carved in Stone – Take a walk through Trophy Point to experience the walking tour of our 12 engraved benches highlighting West Point character traits. Click here for more.

The Parents Club of Kentucky is pleased to share that they are now taking orders for custom bourbon barrel heads bearing the 2025 Class Crest. 

These gorgeous and authentic aged Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Heads are customized with the USMA Class of 2025 class crest. Parents of the class of 2028, you are invited to the WPAOG Ice Cream Social in advance of R-Day. WPAOG will help families navigate the 47-month journey and beyond with our annual Pre-R-Day Ice Cream Social.

Congratulations Proud Parents of the Class of 2024!

Graduation for the Class of 2024 is a little over a week away. We are sending this information to help you navigate West Point during the upcoming events.

Please be sure to review all the attached documents. 

Things important to note – Parking on graduation day will be limited to Buffalo Soldier Field and the lettered lots above Michie Stadium. 
As you enter the gates (Thayer and Stony Lonesome) you will be directed to parking. 
If you are planning to park in the lot designated for handicapped guests, F Lot, please have your handicapped placards or hang tags visible. 
Buses will be available to transport guests to the parking lots once the speaker has departed.

Here are some upcoming key events for the club this year:

Sunday, April 21 – New Cadet Candidate Pizza Party – This is a great event for families of new cadet candidates to come learn more about R-Day, Beast and what to expect in the coming year

Sunday, May 5 – Firstie Send-Off – The entire club is welcome to come and celebrate the Firstie class

Sunday, May 12 – Mom’s coffee – Following up on the Pizza Party this is an opportunity for Moms to connect with other Cadet Mom’s and learn the ins and outs of West Point

June 23 – Plebe Picnic – Just before R-Day we gather to send off the new Plebes and their families. Come join us as they start their 47 month experience

July TBD – Mom’s lunch – Similar to the Mom’s coffee this is another chance for all West Point Mom’s to gather

Fall TBD – Group Activity – Last year we went to Lake Geneva for a hike and are investigating alternative options for a group outing this fall.
