Our club has a web site that is hosted by the West-Point.org site. It can be accessed at www.west-point.org/parent/wppc-gulf-coast/ or at the Parents Club link at the west-point.org site. Our site has been updated with new pictures, a new current events feature and a memorial page for Jamie Morris. Additionally, there is access to past Club newsletters, upcoming club functions, and links to other West Point web sites. Everyone is encouraged to submit neat things, or any digital photos you would like to see posted on the site, please contact Dick Hull via email at wppchull@aol.com or by phone at 727-526-3090. If you are an avid “net surfer” or otherwise hungry for West Point information, we suggest that you frequently access the USMA.edu and West-Point.org sites that are linked to our Club web site. Also a special thank you to Dick Hull for the great work on the web site, it is really looking great!

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS DUE BY JUNE 30, 2002

Annual membership dues are due by June 30 of each year.  The ideal time to “re-up” is at the June picnic to be held on June 15.  Remember to receive the Plebe-Parent Survival Manual or Firstie Manual you must be a member in good standing.  Also, if you want to see your cadet’s picture and name in the Club’s annual salute to graduating seniors in the Howitzer, you must have been a member for your cadet’s entire West Point career.  A membership application is attached for your convenience.  A membership form is also available through our website. Fill it out and bring it with your check to the June picnic.  Parent memberships are still a bargain at $25 per year and Associate Memberships for relatives and friends are available at $15 per year.  Associate members receive all of the benefits that parent members receive (except the right to vote or hold office).  Associate Memberships are great gifts and a good way to keep the extended family and friends informed.

FRIENDS OF WEST POINT

The Association of Graduates has also created the Friends of West point to broaden the nationwide base of support for West Point’s values and programs.  This is to be accomplished by enlisting into the organization’s ranks a large group of people, ranging from the most influential to the most ordinary, who have feelings of respect and affection for the Academy, but who are not otherwise qualified to belong to the AOG as regular or Associate Members.  Additional information and application for membership can be obtained through the AOG website http://www.aogusma.org click on Friends.
