seen in the musical adaptation of War And Peace.
  In this simple film, Dirgeman tells the story of a simple avocado picker, Mr. Peabody, who falls in love with the simple farmer's simple daughter. However, she cannot stand the smell of avocados, and shuns his proffered love. The film takes us along as our hero struggles to find a way to gain his love's affections, and with the final scenes, as our hero defends his love from a mad, charging herd of itinerant field hands, we find the meaning of life, true love, and avocado picking.

  James Boob is back, and the world applauds. Ion Phlegming's hero, played by Myron McCormick, faces the evil mind of Dr. Maybe, who is planning to destroy the world by unleashing the giant Glurg, a monster created out of double-bubble gum, on the world's citizens. Boob gets wind of the fiendish plot, travels to Trenton, New Jersey, Maybe's headquarters, battles with his henchmen for twenty straight minutes, saves Laura Lovely from a death worse than fate, and electrocutes Dr. Maybe with his electric train set, and still has time to smoke four hundred and seventy-two per-­ sonalized cigarettes, drink fifteen cans of Champale, and change into fourteen different non-wrinkle suits.
  What a Man!

DRINKING-DINING
  Within the last year or so, many new clubs and posh holes in the wall have opened along the New York Thruway. About two weeks ago, we took a drive for ourselves and stopped at the various way-stations open to the weary traveler. The following is a report of our venture.
  Dave's Dingy Corner, located right past the "The Life You Save May Be Your Own" sign. Its specialties are flaming chicken-bone soup, rice ala Stalin, frosted whale blubber topped with a thick, creamy dandelion sauce, brazed shoe leather, and ersatz coffee.
  Frank, John, and Sammy play for your enjoyment nightly, minimum cover charge.
  Mary And Sal's Place Of Eats, to be found in a gully right near that beauti­ ful S-turn, features food cooked the way Mom used to. The main attraction however is the atmosphere, which is unique. The entrance- way is adorned with frescoes dating back to the late
