Class Notes 1981v39n4Mar

Our 15th Reunion brought many long-lost friends back to WP for Homecoming Weekend. From the Fri night social at the Golf Club to the farewell Sun brunch the pace was hectic and fun-filled. We found ourselves mostly back in step at the parade on Sat; and when we gathered with families in the stands for a group picture, it seems we were about 100 strong, with classmates traveling from as far as Europe to attend. The weather was brisk, if not down right bone-chilling - reminding us of those other days out on the Plain with the winds whipping 'round. At the Dinner-Dance in Washington Hall the talk rap1idly turned to others not able to be with us and earlier escapades. On Sun the South-east Asia Memorial was dedicated at Lusk Reservoir and afforded us an opportunity to remember our fallen classmates. Start now to make your plans to attend the 20th.

Among those spotted at various Reunion events: Mike & Joan Huston from Carmel, IN, where he's an attorney ...Gerrv & Michele Hoffman from Houston, where he's a pathologist, following his resignation from the AF in 76. This was Michele's first time in the Big Apple so they spent several days seeing plays and taking in the sights ...Dave Kuhn is now in real estate development in the San Fran Bay area, having finished up at Irvine Ranch . . . Glen Nenninger works for Ford (Tractor Div) and lives in Livonia, MI . . .Tom & Marilyn Kovach from Framingham, MA, where he's VP of the Monchik-Weber Corp. (data processing) . . .Sharing the award for greatest distance traveled to attend were John Swensson and John Alger from Germany.

On behalf of the Class I'd like to extend warmest appreciation to Denny Coll for all the work that he did in preparing the Class history/roster for our 15th Reunion. For those of you who didn't attend but would like a copy, send $7.25 to: Mr. Dennis Coll, Murdoch and Coll, Inc., 3233 N. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Thanks also to Barrie Zais and his reunion cmte for putting the whole thing together.

Got a note from Ron Williams who's now at Ft Rucker with wife Judy, Ed 4, and Matt 2. He's working as an experimental test pilot after graduating from the Navy Test Pilot School. They look forward to seeing any classmates passing through the area.

Our former WP neighbors, Mike & Chris Deems are the proud new parents of Nikolaus Jon, born 26 Nov (9422 Park Hunt Court, Springfield, VA 22153).

Recently located and off the missing persons' list are Lloyd Ray, on the faculty at C&GSC, Ft Leavenworth, and Frank Reller, at DNA in Alexandria, VA.

From out CA way Jack & Jennifer Blau (1216 Devine Dr, Lodi, CA 95240) send greetings and welcome classmates passing through the Sacramento area. Jack is selling food processing machinery and electronics for Key Electro Sonic in the Western states and Mexico, and he's issuing a racquetball challenge to all comers. They have 2 boys, Mark 13 and Bruce 10.

In view of the fact that the Higleys are due to leave WP this summer for St. Louis, my wife Todd, the Class scribe's ghostwriter, is pleased to announce that Don Rowe has graciously agreed to assume the duties of Class scribe. Please address all future Class column notes to him at 176-G Lee Rd, West Point, NY 10996.
