co I-1, class of ’82 website

I’m working on the Company I-1, class of ’82 website. I’m using a free content management software package called PHP-Nuke. It uses a MySql database. Basically you upload it to your site, run a script to populate / initialize the database and you’re up and running. I’ve customized one of the themes to the point that it has a look and feel that I’m happy with. To start with I deactivated many of the modules that are offered. I don’t want to have an interface with too much stuff on it.

I’ve got a few more tests to do then it’ ready to go live. I want to create some topics, make sure I have a structure for uploading photos, check all the pages to make sure they are presentable that there is no white text on a white background for example.

For now it is stored on a West-Point.org server in a sub-directory of the company space, of which I’m the moderator. When the site is ready I have to move it to the right place in the directory tree. That might be a big pain because there are a lot of files to move.
