Reception Day (R-Day) is an annual event held at the United States Military Academy to receive incoming New Cadets to West Point initiating the beginning of Cadet Basic Training (CBT) on the road to becoming a member of the Corps of Cadets. R-Day preparations are under way at West Point. Equipment is staged in Central Area for distribution to the barracks where the new cadets will be housed during CBT.
