CLASS OF 2001

Joseph Gerena:  Wow! Four years have gone by so fast and now Joey is ready to move on. When Joey first started attending the Academy he wasn’t sure whether he would be ready to make that 5-year commitment. But after the past four years he is excited about it. He is definitely looking forward to helicopter training and all of the other experiences ahead. Although his military future is very much on his mind these days so is his personal life as he prepares to get married July 7th. He and his fiancee, Shayla will check out the housing at Ft. Rucker while attending a fellow WP classmates wedding just three short weeks before their own wedding. My, my it sounds like wedding bells are ringing all over these days!

Jennifer Leidel:  Hi, well guess this is IT!! Can’t believe how fast the time has gone by, at least for us. Looking forward to seeing everyone up at graduation. News from Jen: Jennifer is anxiously counting the MINUTES until graduation. On June 12 she leaves for a three-week vacation in Africa with her family. She reports to Ft. Rucker on July 10 to begin flight school. GO ARMY!!

Aaron Morris:  Aaron is enjoying his final semester at West Point. He particularly enjoyed a golfing weekend with his father and a friend from Tampa the first of May. The first day of golf resulted in a tie score between the three of them. At the end of the second day of golf, three and a half dozen golf balls had found a home at West Point!  As with almost all Firsties Aaron is looking forward to graduation and is beginning to realize that he will miss a lot of good friends made over his time at West Point.

Eric Musgrave:  Eric is looking forward to graduation. Afterwards, he and his Dad are riding motorcylces to the West coast of the US. He has to report back to West Point on July 10 for knee surgery. Then he will stay there for the next 9 months. Even though Eric has this little set back, his attitude is very good. He’s ready to get this behind him and on to OBC and Ranger school.

CLASS OF 2002

Misty Cantwell:  Misty is glad Sandhurst is over. Her company came in 8th out of 36 companies. She is enjoying her duty as CIC for Sunday School, but is looking forward to the time off this summer. She spent several days at the Protective Design Center in Omaha in preparation for her upcoming trip to Croatia. She will spend several days at home in June upon her return.
