ANNUAL SPRING BANQUET TO  HONOR CLASS OF 2006 APPOINTEES WILL BE HELD ON MARCH 15, 2002

The annual Spring Banquet to honor those who have received appointments and those with Letters of Assurance to the United States Military Academy or the Prep School will be held at the MacDill AFB Officers club on March 15,2002.  The reception will begin with a cash bar at 6:30 p.m. with dinner scheduled for 7:30 p.m.  The dinner menu will be a choice of either London Broil or Chicken Cordon Bleu, served with tossed salad, potato, vegetable, rolls, tea or coffee.  Additional information about the banquet, as well as a reservation form is enclosed.  Please complete the form and forward it together with your check payable to  “West Point Parents Club,” in the amount of $19.00 per dinner to Bob and Krista Manley, 608 Crystal Grove Blvd.  Lutz, Fl.  33549.  Be sure the names of the attendees are indicated on the form along with the type of dinners desired.  Please forward your reservation form to be received not later than March 8, 2002, so that we can furnish the Officer’s Club with an accurate head count.  Please keep in mind the additional security measures at MacDill and allow sufficient time to make it to the banquet.  If you need directions or additional information, please call Bob or Krista Manley at (813) 948-6160.

ELECTION OF CLUB BOARD OFFICERS FOR NEXT YEAR

Article VI of the Bylaws of the Club provide for the election of officers.  In accordance with those Bylaws the Nominating committee has met and made their recommended slate of Officers to the Board.  The Board submits the following nominees for the offices as set forth below:

Marty and Sue Raskie

A ballot, which also provides for  “write-in” candidates is enclosed in this Newsletter and should be returned not later than March 31, 2002, to Bob and Krista Manley at 608 Crystal Grove Blvd.  Lutz, Fl.  33549.  The ballots will be tabulated at the next Bard Meeting and the results announced in the next newsletter.  The new officers will take office on July 1, 2002. 

Only regular members are authorized to vote and each regular member has one vote. All regular members are encouraged to vote and return ballots as soon as possible.

NEXT MOM AND POP LUNCHEON TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 23

The next Mom and Pop Luncheon will be held at the Radisson Sabal Park at 12:30 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2002.  Please RSVP to your Class calling captains by February 20, with the number of family members attending.  If you forget to RSVP, you may still attend.  A map is included in this issue please save it and share it with our incoming members.
