| Some of us got up early. I drove with my brother – a former Harvard crewman – to Victory Park, Rumson, NJ to see West Point compete against crews from Rutgers, Villanova and Drexel on the Navesink River.
Mens and women’s teams rowed in 8 oared shells, called “Eights”, in Crew jargon. Both teams did very well last season and provided some exciting racing.
