Some of my interests have resulted in accumulating or producing  material that might be of interest to other people; this web site allows them to be easily reached by other people.

Literate Programming
is a style of computer programming that combines human-readable documentation with the actual source code; the goal is to produce "source code" that is oriented towards humans rather than computers, while remaining a correct set of instructions for the computer. This link leads to a very basic discussion  of the underlying principles, some links that may be of interest, and some tools I have found useful.
Scientific Calculators
are capable calculators, typically with advanced graphing capabilities. This link leads to a set of articles dealing with calculator programs used to support MA206.
Mathematica
is a powerful software tool for working with mathematics on the computer.  I'm a relative beginner with this tool, but this link points to some files I've created relative to MA206.
Tcl/Tk Work Aids
I've experimented with using Tcl/Tk to create convenient (by my own definitions) graphical front ends for the various tools I use. Jade.tcl is a front end for the Jade DSSSL processor, designed to be an easily customizable front end for running specific scripts (as opposed to Pomade, which is much more configurable, but also requires more setup). There is a similar program, nuweb.tcl that does the same thing for nuweb, and can be downloaded in either the documented nuweb version or the undocumented Tcl script.
Filter: A grep-like search utility
Filter is a search utility designed to assist in searhing the SCA Ordinary and Armorial. Joel Polowin is the original author; this page provides a Windows executable and a TCL graphical front end.

My Department of Mathematical Sciences web page is primiarily of historical interest at this point, but here is a link to it.
