The Chamber

The Chamber by John Grisham is another one of his lawyer oriented novels. It’s about a member of the KKK who helped set bombs in the South and gets put on death row after some people die in one of the bombs. A lawyer, the guys grandson, takes up his case and defends him on death row. There is not really a twisted, intricate and thrilling plot like in other Grisham novels. The novel does hold your attention though with the suspense of whether the guy gets executed or not. I preferred his other novels like the Pelican. Rates a 6 / 10.
