Ned Hull: Ned is enjoying being a Firstie with all the extra privileges and the freedom afforded by having a car. He is again playing Team Handball which will take him to a variety of locations; they just returned victorious from the Air Force Academy where he had a great weekend that included attending the football game. He has passed his flight physical, and made Aviation his first branch choice. Along with his classmates, he is anxiously awaiting Branch Night on Wed, Nov 14, when according to custom, they will convene at Ike Hall after receiving their designation to wet down their new branch insignia. If he does get aviation, he will be following in his Dad's footsteps attending flight school at Ft Rucker, which is located at his birthplace, Enterprise, Alabama.
Abraham Skellenger: Abraham is looking forward to graduation in June. We are amazed at how fast the four years have gone. He decided to branch infantry so another important decision has been made. We (including his sister and her husband) went up to attend his last sprint football game on November 9th. Unfortunately they lost in overtime, but we enjoyed watching him play and spending some time with him. His uncle and aunt from Iowa drove in on Friday to surprise him so it was a wonderful family time.
CLASS OF 2003
Kevin Manley: Kevin finally came through with Army-Navy tickets for his parents after a couple of months of trying (we told him late). He is looking forward to seeing us for the game. Kevin received his company's SOQ award this quarter, and is up for both battalion SOQ and Honor Representative. He is also looking forward to Winter leave in Texas and here in Florida and attending the Ball in Orlando with his parents and girlfriend.
CLASS OF 2004
Jennifer Barrow: Jennifer was selected out of 40+ cadets who applied to be one of eight counselors for Beast next summer. She was on her company's intramural cross country team, ran in the brigade open, and is going to Sandhurst next semester. Halloween was fun. She helped do a haunted trail for kids at a museum, played the head witch in a skit, and went on the parade that gave candy to the kids on post. She's also back working with the Big Sister program. Better time management has resulted in an improvement in grades from her Plebe year.
