NEWS RELEASES

West Point Sends news releases home when there is an achievement.  Please ask your cadets to authorize release of information on these; it is generally an email request your cadet must approve and email back, otherwise you won’t get one.  They cannot do a press release prior to arrival at CBT.  This is especially important for Firsties, in order to get the press release for graduation.  A photo is recommended for the graduation announcement (you send it to the newspaper with the release).  WP PAO encourages media coverage of cadets.  If a cadet is asked to do a home media interview, they can, as long as it is only about cadet life (respectfully).

WEST POINT SOCIETY FLORIDA WEST COAST

A reminder to our graduating class to join the West Point Society.  Their goal is to provide opportunities for all West Point Alumni to get together and continue the camaraderie of the Long Gray line.  Their activities include the traditional Founder’s day Dinner, Army-Navy Golf Tournament, Army-Navy football rally as well as their support to strengthen the bonds of the One Army with their awards programs.

Society membership information is available at the website www.wpsfwc.org

 WEST POINT ASSOCIATION OF GRADUATES

Another important group that provides a myriad of services and information to our graduates is the West Point Association of Graduates.  Those that do not qualify for membership can support the AOG through the Friends of West Point. The Association of Graduates website is at http://www.aogusma.org
