Col Jones has just given us the date for the Texas Tamale Tailgate – September 29! 

That is the weekend of the Army – Temple football game!  Make those reservations now – especially your hotel reservations and game tickets if you plan to also attend the game.  We need people to help with the TTT.  Lots of people!   We need parents of Cadets and Old Grads too!  You’ll never have more fun than helping with the TTT.

Please email either of us (Phil Lehmberg at  philip.lehmberg@sbcglobal.net or Jim Lemming at lemmbo@aol.com ) if you can help.  We’ll need meat transporters, people to help buy supplies in NY, cookie makers, servers (on site) and anyone who can help us set up and take down the tables, chairs and decorations at Col Jones’ quarters.  We anticipate serving about 800 plates of food this year.  This thing gets bigger – and more fun – each year!

We have already started planning.  We’ll have plenty of cold Shiner beer (donated by the good folks at Shiner), BBQ brisket & sausage, tamales, chips & salsa and other Texas delights that you just cannot get in New York.  And our technical wizard, Virgil Cox, promises lots of Texas music and a few other high tech surprises.
