LATEST INFORMATION

9 September 2015

  • Registered Classmates.  We have 261 classmates registered to attend the reunion. Company B-1 still leads the way with 18.  H-2, B-3, D-3. F-3, D-4 and G-4 are also in double digits.  Fourth Regiment has the most registered classmates with 77.  Click on the Registered Classmates to see the latest Excel list or click to see the Alpha List of registered classmates. . .  Also, here are totals registered for various events.
  • Final Details.  September 1 is the deadline to have forms for all event registration turned in to our reunion guru - Joanie Emmer (wplaxmom@gmail.com).
  • You can also still add events at this time. If you think you want a ticket to an event, you should order it now. Ticket refunds are possible until September 8 and then we will do what we can to resell any cancellations after the 8th. The only option you will have on the day of the event is if a classmate has cancelled and thus extra seats for the event are available. Better to have a ticket than to be sorry!
  • I want to make sure everyone knows that the NYC tour is now a "go" due to a surge of signups, plus additional seats are available.  So, if you are interested please sign up by tomorrow.
  • Also, if the stadium scene is a bit much for you or members of your party,  there will be a Supe's boat ride during the football game . You may also sign up for this by tomorrow .  This event was not on the original registration form, but has been added since.
    • Tailgate signups seem low.  This is a highlight and a huge bargain.  It is a 3-hour social event to mingle and see everyone after the game.  It includes:
    • Tents, tables and chair set up for our comfort/shade/etc.
    • Time well spent while traffic departs the stadium area
    • Cheaper than you could ever find a comparable meal in the area
    • Costs only $2 more than we paid 5 years ago
    • Menu for all three hours includes:
    • drinks (beer, wine, sodas)
      • pulled pork with rolls with BBQ sauces
      • baked chicken
      • sausage and peppers
      • hot dogs
      • potato and macaroni salads
      • coleslaw
      • chips
      • brownies and ice cream

5 August 2015

  • NYC Tours on Thursday.  My apologies . . . I failed to post the detailed information on the NYC bus and/or water taxi tour options scheduled for Thursday, 17 September.  The bottomline . . . meet in the hotel lobby at 7:45 am on Thursday morning for the bus ride to Pier 79.  Meet back at Pier 79 at 4:00 pm for the return bus ride.  At Pier 79, you can transfer to the water taxi for desitinations such as the 9-11 Memorial and Museum.  Cost is $25 for just the bus or $55 for the bus and water taxi.  Click here for more information.

Company B-1 still leads the way with 17.  H-2, B-3 and D-4 are also in double digits.  I'm happy to say that A-2 will now be represented with 4 attendees registered.  Click on the Registered Classmates to see the latest Excel list or click to see the Alpha List of registered classmates. . .
