2012 Ryder Cup Reunion USMA Class of 1964
Go to the link below to view a video produced
by Jerry Werner of classmates
and wives of the West Point Class of 1964.
Footage was taken while herding
folks into final photo sessions at our
mini-reunion in Edwards, CO (near
Vail). Some of us played 3 rounds of golf
in a "Ryder Cup" format while the
non-golfers biked hilly roads and rafted
on the rapids of the Colorado
River. The event was organized by Bill and
Suzanne Thompson Annan of Denver,
CO.
The golf courses were
challenging, the Rocky Mountain scenery…magnificent,
but most
important…we got to celebrate and reinvigorate 48 years of the
closest
kind of friendship one can imagine. Some fifty-two years ago in the
summer
of 1960, a group of young men, mostly strangers came from all over
the
country and other parts of the world and entered the gates of West Point
where they bonded forever as part of the "Long Gray Line" and the Class of
1964! Not all could join us, not all are still with us but their spirits and
memories were in our hearts.
Our gratitude to Bill and Suzanne for
organizing this unforgettable
gathering!!
