Easterseals Receives $1 Million Donation from Respected Community Leader Retired Major General Carl H. McNair
13 June 2018, WASHINGTON, DC - Easterseals DC MD VA received $1 million from retired Major General Carl H. McNair, Jr., USA (Ret.) to support the All Thrive Campaign, which aims to grow all Easterseals programs that benefit children, adults, veterans and their families living with disabilities or special needs.
McNair and his late wife Jo Ann McNair have been valued members of the Easterseals family for more than 20 years. Their support of Easterseals and their commitment to support individuals with disabilities and special needs have helped families throughout the region thrive.

'My beloved wife Jo Ann was severely disabled for almost 33 years. However, through it all she stayed by my side for decades as we tried to help those who lived with disabilities or special needs however best we could,' said retired Major General Carl H. McNair. 'Easterseals has always had a warm place in our hearts."
For more than three decades, the McNairs worked side by side to raise funds for Easterseals critical programs and services through telethons, the Advocacy Awards dinners and special events. Maj. Gen. McNair has also provided great insight and leadership as a member of the Easterseals Board of Directors for many years, and he continues to share his knowledge and guidance as an Emeritus Board member.
