Elizabeth Ann Craven
The funeral for Elizabeth Ann Craven, 70, of Athens, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Charlie Alookaran officiating. Burial will be in West Point USMA Cemetery in West Point, N.Y.
Visitation will be 6-9 tonight at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Craven died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
She was a registered nurse and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a strong supporter of Best Friends Animal Society and the North Shore Animal League. She was a patron of Houston Memorial Library in Athens.
Mrs. Craven was preceded in death by her parents, Lt. Gen. Robert H. York and Grace Buckland York; a son, Thomas T. Craven Jr.; and two sisters, Dana Dale York and Gail Andrea York.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas T. Craven of Athens; two sons, Jon Patrick Craven of Oakdale, Tenn., and William York Craven of Madison; two daughters, Deborah Ann Zimmerman of Boca Raton, Fla., and Tamlyn Grace Koski of New Market; two sisters, Barbara Donnadieu of Navarre, Fla., and Carol York Winslow of El Cajon, Calif.; a cousin, Donald Schmitt of Los Angeles, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joel Pugh, John Stockton, John Conlon, Roy Shaw, Henry Brown and Steve Carter.
