- My favorite pasttime while I was in school. It's good to see that younger generations still carry the torch!
- Yumiko and I enjoying the relaxed life at an Onsen (hot spring) at Kawakami, Japan with my cousin, Mike, and his wife, Yoshie.
- Here I and 3 other Captains display the character that was built on the area (above). We erected this banner over the Headquarters Building at US European Command in 1996.
- Here I am at the end-of-Fasching festivities in Bad Cannstadt, next to Stuttgart.
- Here's a picture of Anders Hakfelt (KFBS MBA '96) and his wife, the late Dr. Gesine John, whom I constantly miss.
- One fine day here in Chapel Hill, we were visited by Dr. Allen Greenspan, who dedicated our new business school building.
- Meanwhile, Jeff Reid keeps things under control.
- Far away, in "la belle France," you can go to Nice, along the Cote D'Azure.
- I travelled to Beaune, France, the heart of the Burgundy wine producing region, with Colonel Jess Oji and Commander Piers Dawson, both from that other wine-producing region -- California.
- Here I am guarding the fabled grapes of the Romanee-Conti Vineyard near Beaune, France.
- Further to the West is Pointe du Hoc, where the US Army's Rangers scaled the cliffs to take out German Naval guns on the morning of D-Day in 1944.
- Yumiko (mein Frau) with 3 coaches from the Japanese National Ski Jump Team in Garmisch, Germany.
- 3 days later, their coaching paid off as Funaki-san won the ski jump contest in Innsbruch, Austria.
- Been to Istanbul?
- Look around Chapel Hill, NC.
- Check out Eastern Europe
- Go to my Germany page!
- See me in Japan!
