Here are some pics I've either taken or collected:

  1. My favorite pasttime while I was in school. It's good to see that younger generations still carry the torch!
  2. Yumiko and I enjoying the relaxed life at an Onsen (hot spring) at Kawakami, Japan with my cousin, Mike, and his wife, Yoshie.
  3. Here I and 3 other Captains display the character that was built on the area (above). We erected this banner over the Headquarters Building at US European Command in 1996.
  4. Here I am at the end-of-Fasching festivities in Bad Cannstadt, next to Stuttgart.
  5. Here's a picture of Anders Hakfelt (KFBS MBA '96) and his wife, the late Dr. Gesine John, whom I constantly miss.
  6. One fine day here in Chapel Hill, we were visited by Dr. Allen Greenspan, who dedicated our new business school building.
  7. Meanwhile, Jeff Reid keeps things under control.
  8. Far away, in "la belle France," you can go to Nice, along the Cote D'Azure.
  9. I travelled to Beaune, France, the heart of the Burgundy wine producing region, with Colonel Jess Oji and Commander Piers Dawson, both from that other wine-producing region -- California.
  10. Here I am guarding the fabled grapes of the Romanee-Conti Vineyard near Beaune, France.
  11. Further to the West is Pointe du Hoc, where the US Army's Rangers scaled the cliffs to take out German Naval guns on the morning of D-Day in 1944.
  12. Yumiko (mein Frau) with 3 coaches from the Japanese National Ski Jump Team in Garmisch, Germany.
  13. 3 days later, their coaching paid off as Funaki-san won the ski jump contest in Innsbruch, Austria.
  14. Been to Istanbul?
  15. Look around Chapel Hill, NC.
  16. Check out Eastern Europe
  17. Go to my Germany page!
  18. See me in Japan!

The rest is yet to come!
