The above version is black and white line art with six fill in colors. If this version is acceptable with the class, then we can proceed. If not, then we need to locate other artwork sources.

 Norm Grady suggested an alternate design that would have lettering only, i.e. USMA Class of 1981. This script lettering was taken from the cover of an old ROG, but it may not be recognizable to most people.

These prints will make wonderful mementos and gifts (and generate revenue for our class fund). Mark Hogan (as class president) has approved and signed the Letter of Agreement. There are 3 preliminary drawings to help us finalize the colorization and detail enhancements:

Proposed Class of 1981 crest embroidery by Land's End:

Logo artwork preference is black and white camera ready. Thread color selection will occur later in the process (9 colors maximum).
Initial set up fee for a 8,000-16,000 stitch count embroidery: $125.00 (one time only). Several classmates have offered to pay for the set up fee.
Our class motto, Strength As One, may have to be moved beneath the crest, enlarged to be 1/4 or 3/8 inch, and sewn with contrasting thread for it to be legible.

Minimum order: 6 items per product style
Application fee for each product item ordered: $7.90
Approximate shipping and handling fee per order: $4.95

We can still place an order of less than six, but the application fee doubles. Land's End runs six embroidery looms in tandem and is a little flexible in what constitutes six items per product style. If the material and thread are similar, then the order could be a mixture (3 shirts and 3 baseball caps or 2 shirts of 3 different styles).

    I picked Land's End because the Class of 1982 has ordered items from them and are happy with their quality and service. We are open to suggestions of other vendors who may have a lower cost and easier service.
