From Book to the Screen

WE ANSWERED THE CALL, from Tate Publishing, is the true story by Colonel James Wilhite, USAR (Ret.) of success and hope from Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Unexpectedly called up from his life as a professor of Education, Wilhite is deployed to a war zone in the capital city of Kabul. Once there, he and a dedicated team of Afghan, American, and Allied colleagues use their diversity, savvy, and drive to overcome all obstacles and build a symbol of hope – the National Military Academy of Afghanistan.

With the creation of Crown Jewel Productions, LLC, Colonel Wilhite and screenwriter Scott Holmgren are working to bring this remarkable story to life as a documentary and a feature film.
