The West Point Parents Club (WPPC) of Central Pennsylvania is a source of information, support and fun for parents of cadets. West Point is not a regular college! West Point is a way of life - physically, mentally and sprititually challenging. Cadets reorganize their thoughts and actions to become outstanding leaders of character learning first how to follow, then lead. Sandhurst Competition Sandhurst is an annual competition between the service academies, the Sandhurst Academy, the Royal Canadian Military Academy, and many colleges and university ROTC programs. An all day event, teams compete in a grueling long distance obstacle course and are challenged at every station along the way. In addition to military skills competition and a grueling march, the cadets compete in water navigation, rope bridges, communication skills and much more. This year, the Sandhurst competition is May 3rd, 2008 and you can get more information on this website: www.usma.edu/dmi/sandhurst_competition.htm. Come out and move along with the cadets and cheer your favorite team on. |

Dues Club dues for members are $50; this covers the four years your son or daughter is ast West Point. Name tags can be ordered at 8$ per name tag. If you have questions about club membership please contact Bob and Serena Shields, Carl and Cheri Comasco, or Ed and Jennifer Troxell. |
