The first thing many of us saw, was a sea of BDU'S....all with beaming faces.

What's with the chickens??   Are those standard military issue rubber chickens?

As parents arrived, the Cadets were still required to do many of their regular
daily tasks.  This gave us a feel for what the day looks like, with the sidewalks
quiet and empty one moment, and filled with the '02 class the next moment
as they passed for class.

While we waited for the duties and classes to finish, we parents did what we had done before, or were unable to do in June....see West Point.
