Latest Information 3 Sept 2006

Dear Classmates,

The U.S. Military Academy Class of 1981 will gather on 7-10 September 2006 to celebrate our 25th reunion.  We want the reunion to be a great venue to share experiences about our careers, family, and significant events in our lives since graduation.  We have arranged lots of opportunities to enjoy the company of good friends throughout the weekend.  We hope that the reunion will reinforce the best traditions of our motto “Strength as One!”

If you open the first file (81_Reunion_2nd Mailing.pdf) you will read all of the details about the reunion and have the forms that you have to send back in to sign up for the events, football tickets, and golf outing.  The second file (81_Memorabila.pdf) is a catalog and order form for class shirts and other memorabilia, in addition to the items we will get a the reunion.  You can also order on line at  http://thecorpshas.com/ushop/index.cgi?&task=show&cat=USMA+1981.  The third file is just the sign up forms (81_Reunion_Signup_Forms.pdf) for the reunion events, football tickets, and golf outing, if you just want an extra copy.  The final file (restaurant_list.pdf) is a list of restaurants around the hotel in case you wanted to arrange for a group reservation for Saturday night or some other time for your company or other group.

As you will see from the mailing, Thursday is the day for the golf tournament and evening welcome supper reception at Herbert Hall.  Friday includes events at West Point concluding with a banquet at the Woodcliff Lakes Hilton.  Saturday, of course, is the parade in the morning followed by the football game, post-game party, and Saturday evening open for company or other parties.  The Woodcliff Lakes Hilton is the reunion hotel and they have a special rate there, which they will hold until 7 August or until it is sold out.  All of the details are in the mailing.

We look forward to the reunion—less than 3 months from now.  If you have any questions please contact Mike Meese at michael.meese@us.army.mil or (845) 938-3353.
