COL (Ret’d) Arthur C. Meir II, ‘63 and President of the Tennessee Valley Chapter of the West Point Society, speaks on the subject of West Point class rings and ladies’ miniatures after receiving LTC Pratt’s ring from a ring recovery representative. Behind him are display cases in the entry foyer of the Veteran’s Memorial Museum.
From left, LTC (Ret’d) Milton L. Aitken, ’55 Assistant Curator for the Veteran’s Memorial Museum in Huntsville, Alabama and LTC (Ret’d) David M. McClellan, ’01 Father and ring recovery representative. LTC Aitken has now received LTC Pratt’s ring from COL Meir and has placed it in the display case containing West Point items located to the rear.
Earlier in the ceremony, LTC (Ret’d) John W. (Tim) Thames, Jr. presented a cadet saber to the Musuem along with two 1940’s era prints of cadet hops in Cullum Hall and a dance card from the same era.
