Nicholas James Wright, 20, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on June 20, 2015 in Leesburg. Nicholas was born in Fairfax, VA on January 5, 1995 to Robert and Pamela Wright. He graduated from Heritage High School in 2013. At the time of his death he had just completed his second year as a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.

Nicholas was a gifted student and athlete and approached everything he did with passion and commitment. He was a compassionate and selfless friend, teammate, son and brother. His infectious smile and sparkling eyes could easily lift one’s spirit and will never be forgotten. He touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Nicholas leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Chelsea, “brother” Thomas, grandparents and a great grandmother.

The Superintendent of West Point, Lt. Gen. Robert L. Caslen, stated: “Throughout his tenure at the military academy, Cadet Wright displayed an exemplary pride in his Country and dedication to service in its defense, He was an enthusiastic cadet who was a true friend to those who knew him. His belief in the ideals of the Corps and its motto of Duty, Honor, Country were hallmarks of his performance and he will be mourned by all who have known him.”
