A Letter from Mike McGovern, President of CDC
12 August 1999

Dear Anthony,

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mike McGovern, President of the Class of '69 and Vice President of Career Development Corporation (CDC), headquartered in Alexandria, VA. The purpose of this letter is to offer my company's services to members of your class who may be contemplating leaving the military after completing their obligated service.

Career Development was founded in 1972 and its very first applicant was a West Point graduate returning from Viet Nam. Since that time we have placed over 6,000 Junior Officers with Fortune 500 and mid size companies in positions including, but not limited to: management, engineering, operations, consulting, finance and sales (technical, industrial and medical). I have recently celebrated my 20th anniversary with Career Development. My partners and our staff offer over 110 years of experience in assisting Academy Graduates and other Junior Officers. I promise very honest and straightforward answers to any questions you or your classmates might have and I promise that we will never try to persuade anyone to leave the Military. The decision to leave or stay is a very personal one and one that we greatly respect.

Our web site is www.cdc-va.com. If you choose to share this information with your classmates via your web site at the AOG, allow me to thank you in advance. If you have any questions or if I have some how offended you by offering our services, please call me at 1-800-336-9000, extension 3034.

Thanks for your consideration!

Mike McGovern
