Holidays, Harry Potter, Home, First Days, Football (Roll
Tide!), Birthday, and a Bicycle
Grandpa became the hero of the neighborhood on Independence
Day in 2005 when he funded the largest fireworks demonstration ever seen in our
cul-de-sac. Grandpa, Bill, Wendy, Rebekah, Amanda, and their cousin had a great
time whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River at one of its highest points. We
attended the midnight party at our local bookstore for the release of Harry
Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Amanda got a chance to stop by her very first
home on Redstone Arsenal and the girls started a new school year. Bill, Rebekah,
and Amanda all got a chance to see some Alabama football and have become fans.
Marissa is so indoctrinated she hates anything with blue and orange (Auburn
colors) including the Fedex truck. Marissa turned five in 2005 and gave up
her training wheels.
