This site will explore the
recent lineage (the last five generations) of the LOOMIS Family branch of the KVAM Family tree. The
LOOMISES were the family of my grandfather on my mother's side. The LOOMIS Family is WIDELY researched. The
information I offer here is only a very small part of what is available in my files and was obtained largely from one major
book, loving called "The Loomis Book". Supporting census data was also researched. |
DOCUMENTATION
The documentation on all my records is relatively weak (some primary records, but mostly secondary and tertiary sources).
In the interests of brevity the source documentation is not provided. Additionally, in the interests of personal security
little information is provided on individuals still living. As always, you are invited to browse and enjoy, and to contact
me personally with additional facts or obvious errors.
GUIDES TO DATA INTERPRETATION
I used Personal Ancestry File (PAF5.0) to prepare the source data for all the family generations. It should be fairly
easy to read. The numbers in front of names are permanent references to that person and will be so carried from generation
to generation. If a name has a plus (+) in front of it, that means that that individual's name will be further developed in
following generations. Where a person's name is highlighted, you may access an interesting historical fact or anecdote
about that individual, normally gained from personal sources. My direct ancestors are marked with an asterisk (*)
on both sides of their name.
