If you"re not receiving all, or some, of your vpFREE emails (or digests), it"s probably because your mailbox is full, or your ISP is blocking legitimate email from Yahoo Groups in a misguided spam control effort.
If you"re not receiving vpFREE email (or digests), check to see that you are set up to receive individual emails (or digests), and that you aren"t on Yahoo"s bounce list and need to reactivate your account.
Also, if you have made any recent changes in your method of delivery or email address, it often takes a couple of days for these changes to take effect.
If your Yahoo settings are the way you want them and everything looks normal, then you"re probably a victim of the ongoing spam war between Yahoo Groups and some of the major internet service providers, especially AOL and Hotmail. This is a misguided effort because Yahoo Groups isn"t a spammer.
This spam control problem is industry wide and will probably resolve itself eventually. In the meantime, the major players are trying to impose their own agendas, and blockage of legitimate internet traffic has been, and will probably continue to be, a frequent occurrence.
Yahoo has many, many servers, and Yahoo periodically changes the line ups on their servers. AOL, Hotmail (and others) apparently block spam on an individual server basis, so anytime that Yahoo makes a server format change there may a coordination problem, which can result in blockage. Also, different Yahoo groups use different servers (vpFREE probably uses several servers) so you may be blocked partially or wholly on some Yahoo Groups and not on others.
I maintain a control account that receives vpFREE individual Emails and Digests via my ISP (which doesn"t filter internet traffic). Except for a couple of isolated, temporary instances, I"ve never had any problems receiving all individual Emails and Digests.
Solutions:
1. Complain to your ISP when they block your legitimate Email.
2. Change to another ISP that doesn"t block legitimate Email.
3. Read messages on the web.
4. Do nothing and Yahoo will probably get it resolved.
