The Silverton high-limit room has lots of 8/5 BP, but that"s the best I could find. It"s available in various flavors: single line, Multi Strike, Spin Poker, and 3/5/10 play. Denoms range from $1 to $25, depending on the game. The 50- and 100-plays are short pay, I think. (3) $1 9/6 JoB bartops @ small bar in Keno area. (3) $1 PROG (RF and SF) 9/6 JoB bartops @ small bar in Keno area. All but three or four of the 25c JW are MIA. I received my new card in the mail yesterday. It"s called the Silverton Casino Discovery card. There are four tier levels (with slot/vp points required): Copper (0-4,999), Silver (5,000-24,999), Gold (25,000 - 99,999), Platinum (100,000-399,999) and Diamond (over 400,000). From the brochure, "Rating periods are January 1 to June 30 and July 1 to December 31. Discovery Card members qualify for their card level based on a static, 6-month rating period" with an immediate upgrade when you reach a higher level. Gold level is required for "Host privileges" and "VIP Hotel check-in." Platinum is the only level that includes Restaurant line passes, and it specifies "6 Free Room Nights/Month." For all you fisher-men and -women out there, points can be redeemed (at a rate of 1000 points = $1) up to a monthly maximum of: Silver $50, Gold $100, and Platinum $500 at the big Bass Pro Shop. Silverton has a small bar in the Keno area that is only open on weekends. The bartops can be played anytime. The three left most machines contain dollar progressives, several games, one of which is a 9/6 JOB which also has a progressive on the SF. Host Bonnie Liter resigned over six months ago to move somewhere closer to her fiancee. Silverton now has 25c (100.6%) JW. The (1) $1 JW (101.0%) has been downgraded to 17 for quads. Silverton now has (1) $1 JW (101.0%) upright near the aquarium. The lone $1 10/7 DB and the $1 9/6 JOB behind it are MIA. I went to lunch there today and they still have 15 machines 10/7 25c FPDB and 2 10/7 50c FPDB. The lone FPDW is gone and the 1$ 10/7 are gone. Well, Silverton is officially a video poker wasteland. They removed their only bank of full Pay machines near Keno. The sole FPDW and couple of 10/7 DB machines are gone. On a related note, at their Spring VIP dinner a guest asked if anything could be done about the poor air circulation and resulting smoke stench and unhealthy air in the casino. The GM stated that the casino was designed 10 years ago and it would be too expensive to upgrade their air flow. While waiting for a table at the Sundance restaurant, you can get a coupon that gives a 100 point bonus for Quads. Most of the 25c FPDW and 25c/50c 10/7 DB have been removed. |
