Army Lt. Col. Anthony L. Sherman, 43, of Pottstown, Pa. Died

Army Spc. Ronald D. Allen Jr., 22, of Mitchell, Ind. Died near
Balad, Iraq, from injuries suffered in a vehicular accident while conducting

Support Group, Fort Carson, Colo.
Army Pfc. Pablo Manzano, 19, of Heber, Calif. Died in Logistical
Support Area Dogwood, Iraq, as a result of a non-combat weapons discharge.

Army Pfc. Vorn J. Mack, 19, of Orangeburg, S.C. Died near the Hadithah
Dam, west of Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when he jumped into the Euphrates River to take a
swim and did not resurface. His body was found downstream by a search party the
following day. Assigned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson,
Colo.
Army Spc. Stephen M. Scott, 21, of Lawton, Okla., died in Baghdad as a
result of non-combat injuries. Assigned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment,
Fort Carson, Colo.

Army Pfc. Michael S. Adams, 20, of Spartanburg, S.C. Died in
Baghdad while participating in a small arms fire exercise on the range
when a bullet ricocheted and ignited a fire in the building and he died as
a result of injuries sustained during the fire. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 35th
Armor Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany.
Navy Lt. Kylan A. Jones-Huffman, 31, of Aptos, Calif. Killed in Al
Hillah, Iraq, by an unidentified gunman. On temporary duty with the 1st
Marine Expeditionary Force.

Army Staff Sgt. Bobby C. Franklin, 38, of Mineral Bluff, Ga. Died in
Baghdad of injuries sustained by an improvised explosive device. Assigned to the
210th Military Police Company, U.S. Army National Guard, Murphy N.C.
Army Sgt. Kenneth W. Harris, Jr., 23, of Charlotte, Tenn. Fatally
injured in Scania, Iraq in a two-vehicle accident on the main supply
route. Assigned to the 212th Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserve,

Army Spc. Eric R. Hull, 23, of Uniontown, Pa. Killed in
Baghdad when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. Assigned to the

Army Sgt. Steven W. White, 29, of Lawton, Okla. Died in
Tikrit, Iraq, from injuries sustained when his armored personnel carrier hit an

Army Staff Sgt. Richard S. Eaton Jr., 37, of Guilford, Conn.
Died in his sleep of a pulmonary embolism in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. Assigned to

Md.
Army Pfc. Daniel R. Parker, 18, of Lake Elsinore, Calif. Died in
Mosul, Iraq, when he was thrown from his vehicle when the driver swerved to
avoid an oncoming vehicle in another lane. Assigned to B Battery, 2nd Battalion,
44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort

Army Sgt. Taft V. Williams, 29, of New Orleans, La. Killed near Ar
Ramadi, Iraq, when his vehicle, which was part of a convoy, hit an improvised

Army Staff Sgt. David S. Perry, 36, of Bakersfield, Calif. Killed in
Baquabah, Iraq, when he was inspecting a suspicious package and it exploded,

Army Spc. Levi B. Kinchen, 21, of Tickfaw, La. Died in Baghdad; a
fellow soldier tried to wake him and noticed he was not breathing. Assigned

Army Sgt. Floyd G. Knighten, Jr., 55, of Olla, La. Died in Iraq as a
result of a non-combat related cause while in a convoy from Camp Bilad heading

Army Pvt. Matthew D. Bush, 20, of East Alton, Ill. Died in Camp
Caldwell, Iraq; a fellow soldier tried to wake him and noticed he was not

Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
Army Pfc. Brandon Ramsey, 21, of Calumet City, Ill. Died in Tallil,
Iraq, when the vehicle he was riding in during a convoy escort mission rolled
over during a chase of a suspicious vehicle, fatally injuring him. Assigned to

Army Spc. Justin W. Hebert, 20, of Arlington, Wash. Killed in Kirkuk,
Iraq, when his vehicle was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade during a patrol.

Army Pvt. Michael J. Deutsch, 21, of Dubuque, Iowa. Killed in Baghdad

Army Spc. James I. Lambert III, 22, of Raleigh, N.C. Killed in Baghdad
when he was struck by a stray bullet fired during what was believed to be a

Died in Tillil, Iraq, of injuries he received when his vehicle went off the road

approximately 60 feet from a palace roof where he was standing post. Assigned

Army Sgt. Michael T. Crockett, 27, of Soperton, Ga. Killed on patrol

Army Cpt. Paul J. Cassidy, 36, of Laingsburg, Mich. Died in Camp

approximately 20 miles northwest of Baghdad after a three-day search began when

Army Sgt. 1st Class Gladimir Philippe, 37, of Linden, N.J. His
body was recovered approximately 20 miles northwest of Baghdad, after a
three-day search began when he failed to respond to a radio check. Assigned to

Army Cpl. Tomas Sotelo Jr., 20, of Houston. Killed in Baghdad when a

- Army Chief Warrant Officer Johnny Villareal Mata, 35, of El
Paso, Texas. Killed when convoy was ambushed in Iraq. Assigned to
507th Maintenance Company, Fort Bliss, Texas.
- Marine Lance Cpl. David Edward Owens Jr., 20, of Winchester,
Va. Died of wounds received in action on April 12 in central Iraq.
Assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine
Division, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
- Marine Sgt. Fernando Padilla-Ramirez, 26, of Yuma, Ariz.
Engaged in operations March 28 in the vicinity of Nasiriyah,
remains identified on April 10. Assigned to the Marine Wing
Support Squadron-371, Marine Wing Support Group-37, Marine Corps
Air Station, Yuma, Ariz.
- Army Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa, 22, of Tuba City, Ariz. Killed
when convoy was ambushed in Iraq. Assigned to 507th Maintenance
Company, Fort Bliss, Texas.
- Marine Sgt. Brendon C. Reiss, 23, of Casper, Wyo. Disappeared
during March 23 operations on the outskirts of Nasiriyah; his
remains were identified April 11. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 2nd
Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, based in Camp
Lejeune, N.C.
- Army Pvt. Brandon Ulysses Sloan, 19, of Bedford, Ohio. Killed
when convoy was ambushed in Iraq. Assigned to 507th Maintenance
Company, Fort Bliss, Texas.
- Army Sgt. Donald Ralph Walters, 33, of Salem, Ore. Killed when
convoy was ambushed in Iraq. Assigned to 507th Maintenance
