Career Advisory Service

With the drawdown in Army staffing levels and increased career turbulence due to corporate downsizing,
there is a growing need among West Pointers for civilian career advice and assistance.  The Career
Advisory Service assists Graduates in their job transitions, whether from the Army into the civilian job
market or from one employer to another.  For those on active duty, it is intended to facilitate the transition into the civilian sector once a Graduate has decided to leave the Army--not to encourage Graduates to resign.

The Service uses mentors who work individually with candidate members throughout the job transition process. Mentors are mid- and senior-level Graduates with civilian job experience who can best assist transitioning Graduates. The Mentors are supported by Career Advisory Contacts -- a much larger networking group of Society members. These members  provide industry, company and specific job information, and serve as a source for networking.

If you are interested in this service, either as a Mentor/Career Advisory Contact to graduates in transition, or as a transitioning graduate, contact me through my email below or the Society Directly.
