The West Point Parents Club of Michigan invites you to the annual All Service Academy Ball honoring the Cadets and Midshipman of Michigan currently attending: The United States Military Academy at West Point, The United States Naval Academy, The United States Air Force Academy, The United States Coast Guard Academy and The United States Merchant Marine Academy.
The United States has five Service Academies:

- The United States Coast Guard Academy—Coast Guard
- The United States Merchant Marine Academy—Merchant Marines

Each of America’s Service Academies provides a rigorous and comprehensive education to its students, offering undergraduate degrees while training them to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion of the U.S. military. Analogous to traditional universities, after accepting their Congressional appointments, cadets or midshipmen at these academies also receive extensive physical and leadership training and extracurricular activities and sports opportunities. After graduating, each student moves directly into a career as an officer in one of the six branches of the U.S. Military.
The young men and women who have been selected to attend our U.S. Service Academies experience intense academic, leadership, and physical training requiring the highest commitment of time and dedication through four years at their respective institutions, which are ranked among the highest in the nation.
The year-round duty of cadets and midshipmen offers few opportunities for relaxation or typical freedoms enjoyed by their peers at traditional universities. All Academy Balls are a national tradition, offering cadets and midshipmen the opportunity to commemorate this special time in their lives and enjoy the company of their friends attending the Academies along with alumni, friends, and family at home during their brief holiday ‘leave’.
This year’s Michigan All Academy Ball is coming back after restrictions from the pandemic. Graduating Cadets and Midshipmen in the Class of 2024 have never had an opportunity to attend an All Academy Ball in their home state and we are anticipating significant interest in this special event which will be offered to members across the Great Lake State. Attendance is expected to be in the neighborhood of 400 people.
Hosted at One Campus Martius, Detroit’s premier venue, the will be a Black Tie event, with a high-ranking Army Officer as a key note speaker, silent auction, cocktail hour and delicious plated dinner catered by Cutting Edge Cuisine.
It is the honor of the West Point Parents Club of Michigan (WPPC-MI is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization) to plan and host the 2023 event. We are seeking corporate, small business, and private sponsors to help us reach our target of $70,000.
