Academy Nights

            Academy Nights are similar to College Fairs with the exception that the only schools present are the Government sponsored academies – USMA, USNA, AFA, USCGA, USMMA.  On occasion, other schools, e.g. Mass. Maritime Academy and Norwich Academy will be invited.  The event is sponsored by a Congressman and schools throughout his district are notified by his office.  ROTC colleges may also be invited.

            The format, unlike a College Fair, begins with presentations by representatives from each of the attending schools.  After the presentations, tables are available for students to meet with representatives from the schools of interest to them as is done at a College Fair.

            Not all Congressmen sponsor an Academy Night, but for those who do, it presents us with an opportunity to combine the Academy Night with a By-Invite.
