Matt Schepps gave a briefing on the class cruise scheduled for 25-29 April 2016. He recommended classmates not already planning to go, see the class web site for information. Final payment is not due until 1 February 2016.
Charlie Johnson asked those classmates elected to the new EXCOM to stand. He thanked Pete Fikaris, Nominating Committee Chair, and his Committee members. Tom Horst, newly elected President, briefly spoke.
Don Hilbert commented that this year is the 50th anniversary of the war in Vietnam. Congress wishes to thank those who served . Its Commemorative Committee has gone nationwide seeking 'partners' of which there are now 8,000. A lapel pin has been approved. All who served in Vietnam are authorized to wear it. There is a search for more commemorative partners.
Todd Graham and Rich Cardillo collaborated to produce a beautiful memento to be given to each reunion attendee. Todd painted a picture with a view from an elevated position south of West Point. It features a view of West Point, the Hudson River, Constitution Island, Storm King Mountain and other terrain north of West Point. Rich expertly matted the picture. Copies were then made and inscribed with each recipient's class standing among our 470.
There being no further announcements or business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 1752 EDT.
Respectfully Submitted,
Don Andrews
