Broadway Show

Fully Booked

You'll note on the Reunion agenda ( 60th Reunion Agenda ) that a bus is scheduled on Sun 17 May to take folks into new York City for the day and then return them to the reunion hotel. The time in New York is 'on your own'.

GOOD NEWS! Pat and Rod Vitty are going to obtain reservations and tickets for a Broadway play for those that are interested. Tickets will cost approximately $125 per person for a matinee starting at about 2:00. The specific play can't be selected until we get a little closer to May as plays will open and close between now and May. Whatever is selected, I guarantee will be a winner.

Rod needs a head count before the end of Jan of those interested and how many tickets they want so he can make the necessary arrangements. He'll buy the tickets as a block and you'll pay him.

There will be time for lunch before the play and you can either do that on your own or join Pat and Rod at Angus McIndoe's Cafe in the heart of the Theater District on 44th street. Rod needs a head count for that too.

30 January Update

After careful research by team Vitty, the play 'Beautiful' has been selected. Please join the 36 55ers that are already signed up for the Sunday May 17th play in NYC by letting me know how many tickets you need and if you'd like to join us all for lunch before the play.

'Beautiful' tells the story of Carol King's life through her music. It is a great show and has already won seven Tonys, including Best Musical of 2014. It is playing at the Stephen Sondheim Theater on West 43rd Street.

Our seats will all be in the center orchestra or the center mezzanine and will cost $169 each. Rod Vitty will buy the tickets in advance to obtain this block rate and we will pay him when we get to the Headquarters Hotel. The price of the bus is extra and is paid as a part of the reunion registration.

The bus will leave the Park Ridge Marriott for NYC at 11:00 Sunday morning. Upon arrival in NYC we will proceed to the Angus McIndoe Restaurant on 44th St for lunch. Following lunch we will walk about a block to the Theater and attend the 3:00 performance. Our bus for the return trip will depart NYC at 6:00pm.
