Islas Marķas July 20, 2015

Dear

It is wonderful to look forward to this class encounter on our 60th anniversary.

Up to this point, your generosity has made it possible for us to sustain the Tarahumara Asentamientos, which are now almost self sufficient.

However, I would like to turn your attention to the situation in my new assignment in Islas Marias; a Federal Pacific Island Prison, described in the three enclosed pages.

In case you agree to keep on assisting me with your financial support, I want to specify a new channel for you to use, so as to make tax-deductible contributions through a fellow Jesuit, father David Ungerleider, S.J. in California. Here is the detailed procedure:

Checks should be payable to the Iberoamericana University Foundation. In the memo section at the lower left of the check, please write 'Islas Marias'.

Mail to:

David Ungerleider, S.J.
The Iberoamericana University Foundation
P.O. Box 438210
San Ysidro, CA 92143-8210

Upon receipt, father Ungerleider will mail you an acknowledgment, with the tax Id number of the Foundation, which is a 501©3 organization, to which contributions are tax-deductible. The Foundation will deposit your check and then forward the funds to the Islas Marias Organization in Mexico.

Optional: when you mail your check, you can send an email to father Ungerleider (ungerlei@uia-foundation.org), subject: Islas Marias donation, alerting him that it is on the way. He will email back to acknowledge receipt, in addition to sending the acknowledgment by regular mail for your tax records.

If you ever want to contact father Ungerleider directly, his cell phone number is 619-980-5997.

Thanks for your support, so we may continue this humanitarian project.

Oscar Raynal S.J. '55
