MMC.1:  INTRODUCING theissuetracker@West-Point.org

The function we call theissuetracker would offer West-Point.org
subscribers summary information for their use, as well as to consider action on issues that are important to the West Point community. 

Our first substantive Issue Brief, MMC.2 at 

is an experiment for the use of military members and retirees, their families, and survivors. Permission to repost all messages from theissuetracker is granted in advance and encouraged. 

This is a test of a possible future Service to be developed by
West-Point.org.

The Chairman of the JCS and the leaders in Congress have said the year 2000 is the year of "military medical care reform", so we chose that topic to give this Service an initial issue.

The Objective is from time to time summarize issues of interest to a wide spectrum of the West Point community.

We will try to briefly show an issue in terms of a problem and
provide what is being done about it. West-Point.org subscribers are on their own with respect to what conclusions they want to draw and action they might consider, if any. 

This issue is current and active and future issues will continue
to be.  The first brief, MMC.2 - The A, B, C's of Military
Medical Care, is part of this first issue package and will be
