The purpose of this list is to coordinate activities of surviving family members of the 190 West Point Rangers who have been Killed In Action since the beginning of the Viet Nam War. Donations for the purchase of pavers to be placed on the walkway at the National Ranger Monument at Fort Benning has been completed, and the dedication ceremony has been set for Friday, 15 October, at the Ranger Monument. We hope all family members will be contacted, and invited to attend. Our guest speaker will be GEN Barry McCaffrey '64.
We will make arrangements for block reservations with local hotels, meal reservations for the luncheon at the Infantry Museum, and bus tickets for group transit through Ft Benning gates. We will also announce a sign up web site for an initial registration fee, and collection of attendance data. You'll be able to see others who have registered, at the time of registration. Here (attached) is a roster of those being honored.
It is vitally important that we not miss ANY of these family members who might want to attend. Any that you are in contact with, please ensure they know about this ceremony! Further details will be announced on the list.
