Every six months when we do this budget and crank up the Fund Drive, there's
always a bit of concern. Here we are at the two-thirds point, which I relate to the
military crest of the objective. Now it's time for the "Follow Me!" charge over the
top of the ridge. You wonder, "Will they follow?" The fact is, for eight past fund
drives, our every final Charge! has been magnificient!

the WP-ORG advisors are most grateful! The classes and groups in the Community
which have donated the most, are those whose moderators have taken advantage
of the many tools and capabilities available in WP-ORG. There is a magic when
a class really starts to communicate and leaves the 'distribution' mode behind! As
more and more reach this point, we expand our service capabilities to accommodate.
To those of you hiding in the sallyport, waiting to see if we really *do* need you, the
answer is YES! Specifically, we need about a battalion of you to fall in as donors
along side those already formed up. Then we'll be over the top and I can send that
message you *never* see from other fund drives: "Stop sending money!"
Previous messages have introduced you to recent changes, but we have greatly
upgraded our support capability for collection of funds in support of West Point
Society and Class programs. The WPS of Annapolis worked closely with us on
a collection interface for Army Navy 2000, and we are now supporting the Class of
66 with their reunion:

We have just populated the list for the new Class of 2001 (but are leaving them off
the Fund Drive messages for now!) Our conversion into Vignette Story Server V5
is ongoing and will evolve us into a commercial platform from the prior custom
programing. We have the capabilities to respond more quickly now, to suggestions
and special requests. Those should be addressed to Feedback@west-point.org
As CFO, I want to thank you for your support and donations. Most non-profits
have been badly hurt by the present economy. Our strength lies in the broad base
of thousands of donors. The response rate for this Fund Drive is on target with
past ones.
