After four weeks, we are half-way through the planned period for
WP-ORG's Fund Drive VIII...and the good news is we've raised
two-thirds of the goal! Heartfelt thanks to all of you who have

Over the past several weeks you have read about the scope of
WP-ORG--the remarkable organization of which we are all
members--and of its spectrum of services that benefit us all. Its
volunteers are concerned EVERY day about your needs and how best
to serve you. Now, please take a moment to consider what this
organization means in your life as you consider making a donation
to FD VIII.

Each of you is aware of what a tremendous resource WP-ORG has been
to you personally. I read your questions and comments daily. 
I've often been told that for every person who actually writes,
there are dozens more who were wondering or thinking about the
same subject. I can almost see your smiles through your words of
thanks when you find that one piece of information you were
searching for. How valuable are the words of advice from someone
who was once a professor at West Point? How comforted were you
when other parents let you know you were NOT alone in your
situation, or when thoughtful parents wrote you personally to give
you hope and encouragement?

WP-ORG has no membership fees: all its services to you are
provided to us free of direct charge. To fund operation, WP-ORG
depends on our voluntary support. Information about individual
donors and donations is strictly confidential--known only to
WP-ORG's CFO. However, he's informed me that FD VIII has received
~250 contributions from our total membership of ~2,100 WP-parent
subscribers. This tells me that many of you have been
procrastinating.

If you're planning to make a donation, please don't wait. Your
contribution is important. Don't sit back and let others carry
the burden for you. That's not the West Point way. WP-ORG needs
your support now!

I know you find value in WP-ORG's services. Your volunteer
moderators are here for each of you whenever we are needed. Now,
WP-ORG needs YOU. You may have heard your cadet use the phrase,
"co-operate and graduate". Let's all co-operate to reach the FD
VIII goal quickly. Please consider what your part is and DO it!
