Alexander "Alex" Charles Heinrich Ernandes, 19, was shot and killed by a former friend. He is remembered by family and clergy as a kind, generous and motivated young man. He received a posthumous appointment to West Point at his funeral service. His Uncle, a retired military officer, was administered the cadet oath by a West Point represenative. The ceremony took place next to Alex's open coffin at the front of the sanctuary. He will is an honorary member of the class of 2015.
