CPT Alsfelder, 26, died of a massive heart attack on Mother's Day. He passed away at his home in Fort Sill, Oklahoma . He made CPT just two days before his death. Capt. Alsfelder followed in his two older brothers to West Point. CPT Alsfelder recently left the Battalion to continue his military career at the FA Captains Career Course. During his tour in the 2-11 Field Artillery Regiment, he was assigned to Alpha Battery, 1-27 IN (WOLFHOUNDS) Fire Support Element and BDE Fires.
He is survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
